Our Purpose
To come together as a community and connect with others for the pure purpose of helping those less fortunate. Melbourne Tautoko Whanau (MTW) is a registered Charity & Community-based organisation, which provides emergency relief food & care packages, community services and more importantly helping people to connect. |
Connecting People & Organisations |
Through our MTW Facebook group, we love it that we can connect people and organisations to each other, especially those that need help and those that want to help. It’s where you can put up a post sharing messages of love and good will, promotions of various community services and post to just make us laugh and bring joy. |
Food PantryMTW has a Community based food panty in Brooklyn supporting whanau in need from Cranbourne in the SE to Geelong in Regional Victoria and everywhere in between. The pantry allows us to provide hampers and parcels made up of food, sanitary and hygiene products for those in most need.
|
Community ServicesAt MTW, we are also lucky to have a Maori cultural advisor (Kaitohutohu Ahurea), who helps our people in need of cultural and/or Maori traditional services e.g. funerals (tangihana), worship services (whakamoemiti) and connecting with family (whakapapa).
